Everytime I meet a mama who is planning an unassisted birth they feel deep in their bones, in their intuition, in their soul that an undisturbed psychological birth is what is meant for them. They envision this beautiful birth and can’t see it any other way. But all of us have doubts creep up. But you know how much better I feel. And I’m going to guess the rest of the unassisted birth moms out there feel when we are surrounded by community. Community that supports, community that agrees, community that doesn’t look down on our decisions, but makes the same ones.

I want to create a community of mamas living a holistic natural minded life, birthing our babies the way God intended, focusing on living a low-tox life, learning about herbs and whole Foods. It’s allot and going on this journey can feel lonely. When people don’t understand why you won’t drink tap water. When you hangout with your friends and they make the little random comments about your choice for unassisted birth every time you see them.

It makes you not even want to hangout with them anymore because those 5 minutes of awkwardness that leave you feeling uneasy and honestly overthinking for the next few days.

I want to build a community where moms can share their feelings and they stories. Where they can feel supported instead of questioned and shamed. Where first time moms and moms of many kids can come together, support each other, teach each other and learn from each other. A community where unassisted birth can feel good, can feel powerful and beautiful like it is!
